Sprenger Geigenbau constantly offers a wide selection of student instruments and bows of the whole family of stringed instruments. All of these come at an excellent price-performance ratio.
Beside to the sale, restoration and maintenance of classic master instruments, the offer of good student instruments is very important to us.
Whether an older violin, viola or cello from Markneukirchen or Mirecourt, whether an instrument made by a contemporary violin maker from Bubenreuth, Sprenger Geigenbau offers the right instrument for every taste. We keep a wide range of these instruments constantly in stock, ready to be played and listened in St. Gallen and Bern.
It is very important to us that we do not offer Asian instruments wherever possible – even for the cheapest student instruments. Our European instruments have many advantages, not only in terms of quality, but also, for example, in terms of the wood used.
We only sell quality instruments that are always “set up” in our workshops under strict professional criteria.
We offer European student instruments at prices you would otherwise often only get Chinese ones. Thanks to this excellent price-quality ratio, our customer base still includes many players from the Euro area.
As the oldest violin dealers in Switzerland, we can offer these prices thanks to the excellent, long-standing direct business relationships to a number of European makers (without intermediaries).
You can rent almost any instrument from our wide range at very good conditions. The monthly rent is approximately 1% of the value.
If an instrument is purchased within a rental period of one year, 100% of the paid rental fee will be taken in account. From one year on, 70% of the total paid rent will be credited. You can buy an instrument other than the rented one. A maximum of half of the price of the instrument selected for purchase can be taken in account, even if the actual credit would be greater.
Any full size instrument purchased from Sprenger Geigenbau will be taken in account at full price at any time when you buy an even better instrument. No matter whether after two months or after 15 years, the exchange guarantee applies. If the instrument is in an undamaged condition, we will not deduct service costs, repair or interest!
This means that when you buy from us, you can always be sure that you can change the instrument again – either because there is a need for a better instrument, or because personal taste has changed over the years.
